Professional Summary

Imani Jennings is a purpose-driven leader within Education for Social Impact programs who adds a new layer of hustle and heart to the tech industry. Currently at Google, she leads partnerships and operations for the Code Next program, whose mission is to develop the next generation of diverse tech leaders through mentorship, culturally responsive pedagogy, and innovative technology lab access.

Imani currently calls Brooklyn, New York home but grew up in Miami, Florida and has lived in northern California, Texas and Ohio. Imani graduated from Florida A&M University (FAMU) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and was employed by organizations like General Electric Lighting and Teach for America before transitioning to Google. Her journey through Google showcases notable internal mobility, as she started as the Program Manager for the New Hire Orientation program then became a Business Intelligence Analyst in the People Analytics org before officially joining the Code Next team.

Imani's leadership extends beyond titles; she has successfully launched and landed numerous projects, showcasing her ability to lead complex initiatives through their full lifecycle. Her projects range from managing cross-functional stakeholders to navigating ambiguity in establishing new partnerships. Imani excels in identifying process gaps and creating sustainable solutions.

Outside of leading partnerships and operations at Code Next, you can find Imani in her spare time traveling to new destinations, exploring new restaurants, volunteering at her church and learning how to play the piano. She is also the founder of a faith-based empowerment brand called Cultured by the Kingdom.
